Drink in the View of Bangkok
Bangkok is Asia’s Sin City - and makes Vegas look like a kiddie ride. It’s a city filled with corruption, tourism, and entertainment. You can find just about everything in Bangkok, and sometimes you’ll find more than what you bargained for. It’s what makes Bangkok so fascinating. You never know what will happen.
A trip to Bangkok requires at least a night or two spent out in the city, exploring the various bars and nightclubs on offer. I highly suggest creating a theme for your night, to make things more fun, and challenging. One of the themes everyone should do is ‘Best Bar Views.’
Since the 70’s Bangkok has shot up, literally. Back in the day there were no buildings over eight stories high. Today there are several buildings that are over 60 stories high, and are home to some of the hottest bars - and views - in Bangkok.
Sirocco/ Sky Bar - Sirocco is located on the 63rd floor of the Le Bua hotel in Silom. It’s an Italian restaurant, which serves amazing -but expensive - food. That being said, you don’t need to eat at Sirocco to enjoy the fabulous view, you can visit the Sky Bar instead. The hotel doesn’t want a huge crowd of people, so there is a 300 THB minimum, and a dress code -which is totally worth it!
Moon Bar - Similar to Sky Bar, Moon Bar is located on the 61st floor of the Banyan Tree Hotel in Silom. The view is breathtaking, and there is a dress code in effect. If you’re feeling like a treat, have dinner at the restaurant, Vertigo and enjoy the view as you eat.
AM Bar - Getting away from Silom, and heading into Sukhumvit, you’ll find one of the hottest rooftop bars in Bangkok, AM Bar, at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel. Although AM Bar is not nearly as high as Sky Bar, or Moon Bar, it is holding its own within the city.
Above Eleven - also in the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok, Above Eleven is located on the 33rd floor of Fraser Suites on Sukhumvit Soi 11. The bar has a Soho feel, and features an urban park. This bar is a great place to kick back and relax before heading out to bars like Grey Goose, or Bed Supperclub.
